First times. / Primera vez

We knew that moving here will mean that will have brand experiences all the time, and were certainly looking forward to these new adventures. Here are two that I must share!

Cuando nos mudamos aqui, estabamos seguros de que ibamos a experimentar muchas cosas por primera vez, y la verdad estamos muy emocionados de pasar por nuevas aventuras. Aqui hay dos que debo compartir!

Oh.. yeah, you read that right. We hadn't been to IKEA before! are you shocked? so were a few people here. Now we have been there about 4 times already and every time we go I buy little sticky felt circles for the legs of the furniture. The very first time we went was not the ideal time, we had planned on eating lunch there with some friends. Well Ramadan also happens in IKEA and there was no food there, so we gave as many snacks as we had to the kids and looked around a little. We hadn't been there for more than 20 minutes when a friend starts looking for her 4 year old girl. We all looked and for very long 30 minutes we could NOT find her. I was SO terrified, this place is huge and she could have been taken away already. Finally she was found by the little day care. We were all shaken up that we stayed but we were not with it.

Eso mismo! Nosotros nunca habiamos ido a IKEA, impresionados? Bueno gente aqui tambien lo esta. Ahora ya hemos ido como 4 veces y cada vez compro esos circulitos de fieltro para las patas de los muebles. La primera vez que fuimos no fue la mejor, habiamos planeado en almozar ahi con unos amigos pero Ramadan tambien pasa en IKEA asi que le estabamos dando galleticas a las nenas. Ni 20 minutos habian pasado cuando mi amiga llamo a su nena de 4 anos, no la encontraba y estubo perdida por 30 minutos. Que miedo, fueron momentos muy agonizantes pero a la final todo salio bien.
Yep, that is what you think it is. We hadn't been there before either, but my friend Cortney told me that we could get together for dinner there on Thursday, well my phone died and I could not call her but we went anyway. The restaurant has a small menu and you order the main course and they have a buffet with the appetizers and at the end they bring you the dessert of the day.

The food was yummy and they had a play area for the girls. The best part though was this scratch card that they handed Elena, our little girl won us a DVD player, and it was a nice one! more expensive than the one we had bought already :-) They also gave us 6 cards to enter the drawing to win a motorcycle. We can't wait for the call ;-)

Sip! Nosotros no habiamos ido a Applebee's antes, una amiga nos dijo que podiamos juntarnos ahi un dia y comer juntos. A la final mi celular se murio y no la pude llamar pero nosotros fuimos de todos modo. Ellos tienen un menu con la cena pero los aperitivos estan en un buffet y el postre es el mismo para todos. Lo mejor de todo fue que Elenita se gano un DVD player!

p.s. We have been sick and the house is a mess, when we get healthy and I clean this huge house I'll post pictures of it.
