Now we are into the real hiking!
This time David didn't try to tell us it was an easy one. He flat out told us that we were going all the way to the top. He packed tons of extra clothes, food and water.
The girls liked seeing the red dots and touching "so we could keep going up the path"
We got tons of cheese smiles.
And snack breaks. I think they were intimidated by the HUGE mountain they were trying to climb.
Luisa took it like a pro and slept most of the way.
We had been hiking for like an hour and had barely reached the sign! Again the girls "had " to take tons of breaks. Do you see Victoria's airplane stick?
Somebody woke up!!!
Rocky path
Snowy path
Unbelievable view.
Here we thought we were almost to the very top!
But first we took a little snack break under a cave.
I'm on TOP!
Of the world!
Or so it seems...
We were right by the red dot and the top was what you can see ahead.
The girls and I stayed at that spot. Luisa needed to nurse and the girls were SO cold!!!
It had to do with a silly snow ball fight. Notice we did not have any real winter clothes so we were very wet and cold after the fight.
We had been going for a about two hours by then and the kids were really tired. But our David could not be stopped there, he HAD to make it to the top, so on he went, pass that big hill, because that wasn't really the top, he kept on going.
We waited for him and then it started raining so we started go to down muy rapid, good thing he is a fast hiker, he caught us really fast.
Here are some starts on Mt Molden, taken from VisitNorway.co.uk
