Are in my book, the best way to end a fabulous trip!
As we drove to our last hotel, my poor Victoria needed a super fast bathroom break, so our driver stopped at a restaurant with the beach as his backyard.
So, while I was with Victoria in the bathroom (may I say this country is super clean) Maria, David and Nathan were in charge of the other two.
Which explains what happened next...
 |
| She's just getting her toes wet! |
 |
| Noticed the pants are rolled higher. |
 |
| This one, well, she was not going to be left behind. |
 |
| And, the sick one was doing way better by now. |
 |
| Oh, you noticed the lack of pants?! |
 |
| It was a BLAST! |
The water was a perfect temperature, the kids loved the crashing waves and even got knocked off a couple of times.
I was dying to go in :-( but someone had to stay dry and get the kids all clean, Maria and I did that (with little buckets) while the guys ordered some yummy food and talked math and waves.
Then, we kept on driving, and just minutes before we reached our hotel we found a little Turtle hatchery.
 |
| Turtle eggs, they are super soft and look like ping pong balls. |
 |
| One day old baby turtles!!!!!! |
 |
| Such a little guy. |
 |
| I think this guy was like two months old. |
 |
Maria got to hold the really big guy.
He was SO so heavy. |
After such a fun adventure and Nathan making a really bad joke about the Albino turtle, we were driven into this amazing hotel/resort. We were so tired and it looked so so good that we wished we had stayed an extra day there.
But David and Nathan took the girls to the amazing pool (and something else went swimming as well) while Maria treated me to an awesome, mani/pedi at the spa. It was weird and heavenly all at the same time. Maria and I giggle like 12 year old girls.
We had an amazing dinner, and chatted the night away. It was absolutely beautiful, fun and a great way to end a fun vacation with amazing friends.
The next day we took what should have been a two hour drive to the airport. It was like 4 instead, the most jerky, bumpy awful ride of the whole trip. We debated between staying in the car and just simply walking for part of it. Everyone got car sick but David on that trip and Nathan's head looked like it would snap any time.
But then..
We were on our way home, full of memories, souvenirs and dirt, yes we were absolutely dirty but happy.... Isn't that what really matters?
Plus, it is always stinky in airplanes to Jeddah so, we blended in very well ;-)
